Why  Do We  Have Dark Circles Around the Eyes?

The beauty of the eyes is definitely diminished by dark circles. The skin around the eyes is delicate, so wrinkles appear there quickly. It is inevitable for lines and wrinkles to appear around the eyes with age. But if dark circles appear around the eyes before that, there are definitely some reasons behind them.

These circles are formed due to chronic illness, excessive bleeding, insufficient sleep, excessive mental stress, and an unbalanced diet. Sometimes, heredity can also be a reason.

Will Dark Circles Go Away?

Due to chronic illness and heredity, (they may not go away easily or at all, implying that these are difficult causes to reverse).

It is difficult to know when the circle is formed. At such times, it is not harmful to take proper advice from a doctor or to try some home remedies.

 * Lie down with your head slightly raised. Apply a cold compress to your eyes. Even a tea bag kept in the refrigerator can be used at such times.

 * Wash your eyes by adding a teaspoon of Epsom salt to a cup of water.

 * Soak a cotton ball in rose water and place it on your eyes.

 * Massage your eyes gently. Starting from the middle of your eyebrows, move your fingers around your eyes twelve times. Press the inner corners of both eyes.

 * Treatments started for beauty should be done consistently and with a positive attitude.

Diet for Healthy and Beautiful Eyes

Every component in the diet is essential for health and beauty. Natural and uncooked foods are the best diet. For example, all kinds of fruits, carrots, radishes, beetroot, green leafy vegetables, dried fruits, and dairy products should be included in the diet.

'A' Vitamin: Friend of the Eyes

'A' vitamin is very important for the beauty of the eyes. Cod liver oil, milk, curd, ghee, eggs, pumpkin, carrots, green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, mangoes, papayas, oranges, and watermelons contain a rich amount of 'A' vitamin.

To keep eyes healthy, beautiful, and bright, take 10,000 units of 'A' vitamin daily.

'B-2' or Riboflavin is another vitamin essential for eye health. Green leafy vegetables, milk, cheese, eggs, citrus fruits, bananas, tomatoes, 'brewer's yeast', almonds, and sunflower seeds contain 'B-2' vitamin. If there is a deficiency of this vitamin in the diet, the eyes appear dull.

The Wonder of 'Tears' in the Eyes

Sorrow and joy are natural processes. Tears keep the eyes clean. Dust particles that enter the eye are washed out by tears. Tears contain an enzyme called lysozyme which is antibacterial. Therefore, tears work to keep the eyes sterile. To increase tear production, extracts of coriander and lemon peels, and drops of castor oil are put into the eyes. This keeps the flow of tears smooth.

As I look within myself

The 'eyes' are an extremely important organ, and I will not neglect them. I will avoid using glasses, lenses, and wearing contact lenses. I will use TV and computers only when necessary. I will maintain a balanced diet. I will take care of the delicate skin around my eyes while applying makeup. I will keep my eyebrows in their natural state. I will not compromise on sleep. I will explain the importance of drinking three liters of water daily. Regular exercise will improve physical and mental health. I will always remember that a happy mind benefits the family.

Taking care of eyes in this Digital world.

'Eyes' are an important part of our body and are used for seeing beautiful sights. Poets often use words like 'Meenakshi', 'Kamalnayan' as synonyms for beautiful eyes. There is a great emphasis on the beauty of 'deep eyes' in their writings.

Many unspoken emotions are expressed through the eyes. Even small children can convey their feelings by looking at their mother. Sadness or worry is visible in the eyes. If we are sick or about to fall ill, we first notice it in our eyes. Beautiful and sparkling eyes are a sign of health and beauty.

Why do eyes become dull?

Mental stress, insufficient sleep, friendship with mobile and computer, unbalanced diet, and defects in blood circulation can cause the eyes to become dull. Dust, smoke, and pollution are unavoidable external factors that also affect the eyes, leading to strain and dullness. Fatty foods and excessive intake of salt and protein also have an impact on the eyes. If there is a deficiency of water in the body, it creates obstacles in blood flow and the functioning of the tear glands, and the eyes appear dull.

How to Rest Your Eyes?

Just like the muscles in our body get tired from working, our eyes also experience fatigue and lack of freshness due to various reasons. Here are some ways to alleviate eye strain:

 * Splash clean water on your eyes two to three times a day. The coolness of the water will relax the tension in your eyes. After washing, gently pat your face dry with a soft cotton cloth. Avoid rubbing.

 * Place round slices of cucumber on your eyelids. The coolness of the cucumber will soothe the nerves and muscles around the eyes. It will feel pleasant and improve blood circulation.

 * Go out into the open air and look at the surrounding greenery, birds, mountains (if any), small children, playing children, different types of flowers, flower gardens, and fruits. It feels refreshing to the eyes.

 * Sit in a comfortable position. Close your eyes. Place the palm of your right hand over your right eye and the palm of your left hand over your left eye. Do not apply pressure. Keep both elbows resting on your knees in this position. Look towards the darkness with your closed eyes. The darkness will increase, and the tension in the muscles around the eyes will be reduced.

How to Increase Eyesight?

 * For increasing eyesight, regular eye exercises are necessary. Even while reading, if the eyes feel strained, close them and bring the neck back to its original position.

 * Keeping the head still, slowly rotate the eyes upwards and downwards six times. Take a short break and repeat this two to three times.

 * Also, perform the same action by rotating the eyes to the right and left.

 * Hold your index finger about eight inches in front of your eyes. Focus on a distant object like a door or a window, and then immediately focus on your index finger. Do this ten times quickly.

 * Move your head to the right and then to the left six times slowly. Then, move it forward and backward.

 * After working on the computer for a long time, take a break from it for some time. Splash cold water on your eyes.

 * Warm a little oil and gently massage around your eyes with your middle finger in a circular motion. The skin around the eyes is delicate. Massage from the nose towards the temples and then back towards the nose in a light circular motion.

 * Mix castor oil with breast milk and apply it around the eyes and eyelashes. To keep the eyes cool

* Soak one teaspoon of triphala powder in a glass of water overnight. In the morning, strain this water and wash your eyes with it.

 * If you soak cotton pads in lukewarm water with a little salt added and place them on your eyelids, the swelling of the eyes reduces.

 * Use good quality of goggles while going in sun.(continued)

                                                                       STAY YOUNG !

TO look young" is a desire in everyone's heart. There's a close relationship between "beauty" and "youthfulness." But what if, instead of just trying to look young, we could actually find a way to stay young? This can be achieved through the Ayurvedic concept of "Vayahsthapana" (rejuvenation)

To "stay young," we first need to understand what "youthfulness" actually means. The original Sanskrit word "Tarun" means "tender." In youth, all bodily organs are tender, vibrant, full of energy . The mind is also tender, filled with creativity and imagination, and has the drive to accomplish something. A baby's charming body grows and develops, reaching a stage where we can imagine what the person's lifelong appearance will be – that's youthfulness. While acknowledging the individual physical differences of each young person, the overall well-proportioned body, height, the sparkle in the eyes, and hairstyle are immediately noticeable. A hunched back and shoulders bent inward and forward suggest a defeated personality, while broad, sturdy shoulders, a straight neck, and the tendency to look people in the eye suggest a youthful personality that faces life head-on. The desire to keep our body shapely, healthy, and looking good, having preferences in clothing, being aware of our surroundings, striving for a radiant body and skin, being able to mingle with others and attract them with our company through conversation and  maintaining a fragrant presence, participating in any situation, helping, being prepared to face challenges, and demonstrating intelligence – all these ways, we constantly make others aware  that we are young.

The desire to always be in the company of others and be the center of attention is primarily a characteristic of youth (later, this can turn into ego). Also, in youth, instead of hating others, we have a competitive spirit. We focus on our own development and overcoming obstacles rather than criticizing or condemning the external environment or other people. Therefore, to look young, we need to keep these things in mind and act accordingly.

Even if people have become aged, they look young if they take care of themselves as described above. Taking proper care of the body, clothes, and eyes, as well as following the treatments and diet prescribed in Ayurveda at the right time are important.

Key Takeaways:

Youthfulness is both internal and external: It's not just about looks, but also about attitude, energy, and engagement with life.

Ayurveda offers ways to stay young: The concept of "Vayahsthapana" focuses on rejuvenation.

Youthful qualities include:

Vibrancy and energy

Creativity and imagination

A competitive spirit

A positive attitude

Social engagement

Self-care

The law of attraction

The law of attraction is the New Thought spiritual belief that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person's life. The belief is based on the idea that people and their thoughts are made from "pure energy" and that like energy can attract like energy, thereby allowing people to improve their health, wealth, or personal relationships. There is no empirical scientific evidence supporting the law of attraction, and it is widely considered to be pseudoscience or religion couched in scientific language. This belief has alternative names that have varied in popularity over time, including manifestation.

Advocates generally combine cognitive reframing techniques with affirmations and creative visualization to replace limiting or self-destructive ("negative") thoughts with more empowered, adaptive ("positive") thoughts. A key component of the philosophy is the idea that in order to effectively change one's negative thinking patterns, one must also "feel" (through creative visualization) that the desired changes have already occurred. This combination of positive thought and positive emotion is believed to allow one to attract positive experiences and opportunities by achieving resonance with the proposed energetic law.

While some supporters of the law of attraction refer to scientific theories and use them as arguments in favor of it,it has no demonstrable scientific basis. A number of scientists have criticized the misuse of scientific concepts by its proponents.Recent empirical research has shown that while individuals who indulge in manifestation and law of attraction beliefs often do exhibit higher perceived levels of success, these beliefs are also seen being associated with higher risk taking behaviors, particularly financial risks, and show a susceptibility to bankruptcy.
